In 2024 we remodeled the kitchen! It was a full DIY project taking out all old cabnetry, flooring and the walls down to the studs. It was a big job. The hardest part was pulling the trigger on the new cabinets. They are NOT cheap. While shopping for cabinets we found that at some point in time cabinets need to be built. While you can purchase them assembled, or not, from many companies from big box lumber yards to kitchen & bath specialty stores and online vendors, we eventully went with shaker style white RTA cabinets. RTA stands for Ready to Assemble. Surprisingly, my apprehension was quickly put to rest as it was as simple as reading short directions and assembling the precut parts. Each cabinet took less than 30 minutes to put together and have the quality and look we were looking for!
This old house was being renovated yet again (more to come on previous remodeling projects completed).
